The road ahead...
This is a picture of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Connecticut.
Come to think of it, I've spent the last two months travelling and constantly being on the road. My journeys have taken me from the hills of Palani and Kodaikanal to the picturesque valleys of Connecticut, the glitzy streets of New York, the Benjamin Franklin parkway where Rocky ran :)) and the boulevards of D.C. I must admit that I've not travelled this long and this far, in so short a time.
So, this picture in essence serves to remind me of my journeys to new and distant lands; journeys to newer stages in life, of mine and those connected to me. A journey that I wish never ends...

A glimmer of pine...
A slight hint of pine is all I wanted in this shot. But I think it looks ok the way it is.
We were driving along the hilly roads that snaked between Palani and Kodai. Thats when we saw these pine trees along the hillside reaching out to the blue expanse. Thought I'd take a shot that looked a lil' different.

Friends
I took this picture in one of the quite villages, far away from the hustle and bustle of Bangalore. These kids were a happy lot, wanting to know about the cameras and how the pictures were taken. They were ready with a smile a posed for us without a question.
Eventhough this picture isn't one of the better ones I've taken in a while, it reminds me of one thing that's important to all of us... having friends! These kids remind me of what it means to have people who make you happy; people you can count on; people whose lifes you are a part of.
So hold close to you, the ones that you really care about and don't take them for granted. So that on the day when the sun isn't shining kindly on you, you'd still have a reason to smile, just as happily as these kids.
